Memorial weekend in Montrose

Postby cracker » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:10 am

What a great time with minimal damage. On Sat. we ran Topless, Calamity and the abbreviated version of Scratch n Dent. My wife drove all of Calamity, her first time on anything like that. Took her a couple of tries to get into the initial bowl, but she drove out of it faster than you could blink, so no picture there.. Sunday was for the Big boys, Die Trying and Cactus 1 & 2. Never been on Cactus 2 before, what a fun trail! Starts out after the obstacle on Catcus 1 basically. Drive up the gully then the trail starts to climb. A 3/4 mile of loose dirt and boulders on a 30-40 degree incline! All in all, a fun time, cost me an electric fan, both front u-joints (didn't break, but checking later, they are loose) rear drive shaft u-joints (again loose, not broken) and a few more scratches...and a few loose bolts/nuts..Have pictures of Cactuc 1 & 2, but won't upload?? loco

Works great, except those belong in the MWFR thread - different trail run.

You can no longer upload directly to the site. You must use a hosting site like photo bucket.
