Jenny Creek Trip

Postby Crazyone » Tue Jun 26, 2012 10:02 am

Tried to escape the heat on Sunday and went up to Jenny Creek. Turned out to be a good idea cause it was nice up there! Here's some pix of the trip. We had a great time and there is very little snow left up there.

Awesome pics Dave,

how was the obstacle right after the first water crossing ?

It was a bit gnarly for 3.5" with 33" treads when we did it last year.

It wasn't too bad really. There were 2 different lines. If you go left, it was bad and I would have needed a lift. I went straight on, up a little rise then backed down to the right and around the real bad part. The pucker factor was later when re-entering the creek at one point where the right side went high and the left had to drop into a hole. Seemed like I was at least at a 30 degree side hill. I could touch the ground reaching out my window.

I'm curious too. That looks smaller in pictures than I remember it being (that's what she said?)

Nice report! Did you see the Needle up there? I don't recall the specific name, but it's above YD lake. I've done that one once. Pretty fun trail. We had a fair bit more water. I think when we were driving up the creek, it was a consistent 12" deep. Lots of fun! Escaping the heat sounds wonderful about now!!

We only went up a little ways after the lake then we turned around and found a place for lunch. By lunch I mean 4 oclock lunch.
