COS - Sonic meet and greet?

Postby ClayJ » Wed Jul 11, 2012 3:52 pm

There were allot of people that wanted to go to last month's meet and greet, but didn't get to. JD's imminent departure didn't leave much scheduling flexibility.

Do we want to try another late afternoon meetup at a different Sonic?

Maybe the Sonic on Garden of the Gods this time?

The only thing that Sonic has going for it is the big Souper Salad parking lot next door. Well, that and being 1/4 mile from my house. I have yet to go in there and get a bag of food that was prepared correctly according to my order.

But, despite all that, I'm down!

COS - Sonic meet and greet?

Postby akaFrankCastle » Mon Jul 16, 2012 8:30 am

Porque?

How about we make it a regular thing? Say every week on Xxxday @ whichever location. I know there is a Wednesday thing for old school rods at Culvers on Lake Ave. And the weekly Friday get togethers at the old Grocers Warehouse on Austin Bluffs. No reason why we can't do something similar.

The idea of a regular monthly or bi-monthly thing would be a ton of fun. If you can make it cool. If not, there is next time.

For me, there were just no nights left in the month. Since I didn't stake a claim on an evening, my wife filled my time up with other things, like helping people move.

Lets pick a day and a place and just make it a monthly casual event.

Something like:

The 2nd Thursday of the month, 6:00pm at the Sonic on Garden of the Gods.

I know it's not the second Thursday, but who is up for a cruise in tonight? GOG Sonic? Or another Sonic that suits you guys better?

You guys can all cruise over to the Dick's parking lot over on Powers -- where I work tonight! They actually have a drive in there scheduled the first Saturday morning of the month through the fall I think. :-)
Now with disk brakes, has turned into my sons daily driver while he is home on Christmas break.

Sorry guys. Brain fart on my part. I went to the zoo right after throwing up the idea for tonight. Anywho, 6:30-7:00 works for me. I'm actually here already.

Alright, tonight looks like a bust. Let's call it tomorrow at 7?

If not, we can roll it to next Thursday.

Well, let's just call it Thursdays then. LOL

I'll drop in there every Thursday around 6-6:30 for a cherry limeade and maybe a burger. If there happens to be a few other Broncos there, then sweet. If not, maybe next week.

Can't make it either. But if we set something up for say a certain thursday of every month, we can plan on it. Say the 3rd or 4th thursday every month.
