Chinaman Gulch July 21st Run

Postby landshark » Mon Jul 23, 2012 5:29 pm

A mixed group of Early Broncos and Fullsize Broncos met up at 8am to hit Chinaman Gulch near Buena Vista this last Saturday. Having an early meet up really made the trail fun seeing how hot it was in the afternoon.

No breakdowns or problems, a few quick strap ups were needed in a few cases to get a few of us on our way after playing around.

On the run for the day was CrawlerCreations & his better half, Jasons Uncle and Fiancé (sorry forgot their names!), Kinder and his sons, Matt and his daughter, Ron and Mary's blue classic bronco and of course myself.

CrawlerCreations was kind enough to take lead and Kinder made sure we all made it.

First obstacle was the waterfall / whale tail...

Jason decided to try the hardline but was tough with the wheel base.. couldn't quite get it up on the narrow side...

Then we got to the stairs. I played around a bit trying a harder line but kept getting hung up on the radius arms so move to the easy side with some help ;)

Last obstacle was the V notch..

All in all a terrific day and best of all we beat the toyotathon or whatever it was going on.. We passed a few stockish pickups on the way out.. one had temp tags on it.. brand new.. all manuals.. all very slow going. Wonder how long they were on the trail and if their clutches were a bit toasty ;)

Post up your pics! Thanks again!

Great pictures Chris.
Really impressed by how Kinder and Ron and Mary's rigs represented themselves.
