 Guanella Pass 9.16.12Well, our trip had a turnout of 1 rig, us! This worked out great as it ended up being a really nice wheeling date with the wife. We went up I-70 to Georgetown, then over Guanella Pass with a detour most of the way up Geneva Creek. We would have made the top of the trail, but had to get back as we were running out of child care. My wife, who has always stated a strong preference for pavement even had some fun. The leaves were great and should be even better next weekend. The highlights:

Re: Guanella Pass 9.16.12 Man I miss Geneva Basin. My in laws used to have a cabin on Geneva Creek about a half mile up from Grant. Spent many weekends up there camping and having a few cold beverages around a nice fire. We used to wheel and ride our dirt bikes up into Geneva Basin and play around in the area. It's been many yrs since I've been up there.
