June Breakfast-REVISED

Postby Justin » Sat Jun 07, 2014 7:55 am

It's been a little bit since we've done a southish breakfast, and there is work to be done! We're having our first work part on the club's project rig, 33x2 (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5073&hilit=33x2). It's currently at Zac's place, and he's generously offered to host the event.

Where: 1127 Fuller Road, Colorado Springs, 80920
When: 6/21/14 @ our usual 8:00
How: In your Bronco, of course!
Why: Because this club rocks, and something has to get me motivated every month!

Hope to see you all there!

Just an FYI we had our April 2012 breakfast there. They have a pretty good regular crowd and IMHO, we were not very accommodated with our large group. I don't know who set up the last breakfast there and I don't know if there were early arrangement's made for the restaurant to be ready for us but I think there will need to be an estimated head count and a heads up to the restaurant for the breakfast to be more successful than our last one there.

Whoever is going please let it be known now. fire fire

I was the one who scouted the location and made the original coordination. They do not take reservations and as Mike stated have a very regular crowd that goes there. Parking can also be a pain in the tailgate too as it is on the main street through downtown.

I'm open to suggestions on another place down south, or can move the breakfast back north. I almost put it at O'Brien's in sedalia.

I'm willing to host breakfast at my place. We could do burritos from Rudy's or something similar. I have a '66 Bronco in the yard and a 5.0/4R70W combo in my garage. Seems like I might be able to free up some space in the garage by combining the two.

What would you guys like to do for breakfast? Burritos sound good? Monica's makes an awesome chorizo and there is always Rudy's.

I'd like to ask that people keep in mind that I live in an older neighborhood when they arrive and depart. If you drive like you are doing a test pass at Bandemiere, either keep your foot out of it that day or drive something else :). I have an ongoing feud with the El Camino owning neighbor and don't need him having any ammunition to call CSPD on me.

I'll hoot and holler from a lawn chair shaking a bottle of Percocets like maracas. But there could be some people looking to turn wrenches. Never know until you ask.

Anyone have any spot weld cutter bit? I have 1-2 and a drill. Probably going to need a second drill at at least one additional bit.
