Buddy’s EFI Day

Postby BroncoRaider » Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:48 am

Buddy is going under the knife Labor Day weekend. We’ve got a few folks coming by to help with the swap. If I haven’t talked to you and you’d like to come be an extra set of hands or just hang out, PM me and I’ll get you the address. Breakfast and lunch provided, meeting at 8am on Saturday the 1st.

The wife and I will be camping that weekend. If it falls through, I'll stop by to lend a hand, er...wrench. You guys picked the only weekend in September I'm unavailable!

Just a reminder that we will get started with breakfast Saturday morning at 8am. If you’re planning to come but haven’t let me know, please PM me so we can plan appropriately for food. If you need address or contact info, please PM me as well. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

Looks like I have to sit this one out. Can any of the northern folks meet up with me tomorrow night or Saturday morning to pick up Buddy's computer and some tools?

Where do you live? I might be able to head your way tomorrow late afternoon or early evening if nobody else can

If Chris can't, I can on Saturday. Have to go down to that way Saturday morning and could drop it by on my way back up.

I'm off of 80th and Sheridan, pretty far out of the way for Chris. I'm on the way for Shawn, they probably won't need the computer until Sunday anyway. But, the tools might be handy to have on Saturday so Adam might make the most sense.

Pretty sure you all have my cell number. Chris if you're up this way tomorrow night gimme a shout. Otherwise, I'm thinking Adam Saturday morning...and Shawn get's picked last, just like in gym class.

I helped out on Sunday. Things were coming along nicely. Big things on Sunday were the headers/exhaust, front dress, fan/shroud, harness around fuel rails, water overflow w/bracket, inertia switch, plugs, wires, cam sensor, a lot of harness connections, and a oil change right as I departed. Pretty cool day.
Here are some pics. Jeff was cracking up all day...

You mean this fan clutch? Put it on today, haven’t driven with it yet. I’ve got a few comparison pictures in my member’s rigs thread.

What year of Trailblazer? Just the clutch or the fan blades as well?

2008. It fits the Explorer metal fan, not sure about the plastic fan.
