1974 Bronco Ranger - Mine - ** SOLD **

Postby cplynn » Thu Aug 20, 2015 6:31 am

Regretfully I am selling my Bronco--asking $14,000. I have owned this Bronco for 5 years and since buying it have focused my work and mods mostly on the drivetrain. Most of what needs to be done at this point is cosmetic. I will try to be as comprehensive as possible to describe this rig. The engine is a crate long block 351W based on 1993 Ford Lightning platform. The guy I bought it from apparently won the engine in a raffle and sold it because he did not have a project for it. He delivered the long block engine to me wrapped in plastic and in the engine crate it came in.

Pictures can be seen at:

Engine (Mileage 6656):

• EFI 351W
• GT40 heads
• Ford Lightning upper and lower intake
• Explorer front dress with serpentine
• Wild Horses ceramic long tube headers, 2 into 1 exhaust with Flowmaster muffler
• All new EFI sensors
• New BBK 70mm throttle body
• New Flamethrower Coil
• EFI wiring harness from TBP
• Mustang A9P ECM
• Billet Distributor
• Wild Horses Extreme motor mounts

Other Mods/Upgrades:

• Rebuilt D20 transfer case (built by the legendary Viperwolf1), with Wild Horses twin stick
• Rebuilt C4 transmission (also built by Viperwolf1)
• High Capacity radiator built by local radiator shop
• Front (Chevy) Disc Brake conversion with Astrovan hydroboost; new hubs, spindles, rotors and calipers
• Rebuilt rear drums
• Wild Horses High Pressure Power steering pump
• Wild Horses steering shaft
• Aero 23 gallon EFI main fuel tank
• Wild Horses 2 inch body lift
• 31 x 10.5 BFG A/T tires with 6700 miles on them
• James Duff Trailer Hitch
• Wild Horses shock absorbers at all four corners
• New Warn Premium Locking hubs
• Tuffy Center Console
• New Carpet and insulation
• New door weatherstripping
• Recently installed fiberglass kick panel speaker pods for 5.25” speakers (speakers, amp, deck not included)
• 8 point family roll cage
• Driver and passenger shoulder seat belts.
• All gauges, lights and electronics are in working order.

This is a solid running and great sounding rig and can be driven as a daily driver. Axles should be looked at and probably addressed/rebuilt at some point. The rust situation as far as I can tell is extremely minimal. The only hint of rust I can see is a small bubble on the inner passenger side quarter panel by the firewall. The kick panels, floor pans, doors, tub, tailgate and rockers are all in amazing condition. When I took the old carpet out, I could not believe the condition of the floor. I have not yet taken this Bronco four wheeling. The title for my Bronco is free and clear and in my possession.

That is a gorgeous truck. The picture of the Motor is CCB Calendar worthy. Excellent mods and quality work. Exactly what I am looking for but is outta my price range. Best of luck.

Thanks Entourage. I had a vision for that engine and almost achieved my vision fully. I had some help with the work from Viper, Rox and 76fordbronco, so a huge thanks goes out to them for all their help and advice along the way.

I know, I couldn't believe it! I hate to have to sell it because it is my dream vehicle, but current circumstances dictate that I have to sell it. Thanks for all your help and advice along the way as I got this thing to where it is today. Hopefully I will be able to get another one in a couple of years.
