Headlight adjusting clip

Postby cw72 » Wed Aug 15, 2018 1:15 pm

Looking to see if someone had any of these laying around before I order. I have the screw, just the little plastic clip broke out. Pic attached of the little guy I’m looking for.

Headlight adjusting clip

The replacements that you get from the vendors are junk, the plastic is too hard and breaks if you look at it wrong. Do yourself a favor and go to the automotive hardware section of Lowe’s and get a suitable replacement. Maybe NAPA has something that’ll work as well.

I ordered 4 from Tom's Bronco parts a year ago and didn't have any problems. Took some force to get them snapped in, but have been solid since. My bronco does live inside so the elements don't affect those types of parts much. I can't compare to what Kinder is speaking of, but sometimes local is better!

Fair enough, the sets I’ve purchased were from WH, I don’t know if they source their parts from the same supplier as Tom’s. Of the 3 sets 1/2 broke during installation, of course I may have been too rough.

I recall being shocked at how much force is required to install, but I didn't break anything. I think I used the blunt end of some square nose pliers to push them in.

The ones I ordered from Tom's worked great. I didn't break any, but they did require some force to put in.

Tom’s was who I was going to go through if I needed to order some, may as well get enough to replace all if I ever need to.
I’d love to find them local, but I don’t think I’m going to invest the time store hopping too much.
