I'm in the middle of a disc install on my 44. If ya want, I'll shoot you all the part numbers and what not when I'm done so you can do it too. Planning a write up as well.

Will do. You guys have any good salvage yards down there in La Junta? If not, I'll keep my eyes open for another set of spindles and backing plates.

UPullandPay here in the Springs has been having a rough time with Chevy spindle selection. Found an oddball today while I was REpicking spindles. A 77 C10 4x4 with one 1/2 ton spindle and one 3/4 spindle. Had to go knock the covers off an auto-locking hub to get my second spindle. Anyhow, there is only one 1/2 spindle you could use left there. I do have two extra backing plates now though.

From everything I read:
Spindles can come from 72-76 K5 Blazers and Jimmys and 72-77 10 and 15 Series GM trucks

Here's where I got all my info:

and still well used i used the same article to do mine. i did have the same spindle problem as well on my salvage seach untill i ran in to a big old cherokee i think a 79 with a dana 44 with the exact brake setup as gm. 76-79 is the years that use the setup i think with dana 44s.
