I have a complete 74-77 colmumn with internal flashers and w/o a steering wheel but it needs to be refurbished. You probably know someone who can do that. The price is what I normally sell my stuff for....free! PM me if you want me to bring it to Ouray.

How about fabbing up a 78/79 Bronco tilt column in there? I happen to know a salvage yard close by that has just the trick.

Hey Indian giver... kidding of course. - just don't go giving away that harness... we want it bad. Out column seems to be just fine after the tech day.

Have fun in Ouray - wish we could go... man do I wish we could go...

Zack - next time you're in that salvage yard and see the tilt column grab it for me, I need one for my project truck. I've read/heard that the "E-Series" columns work good since they are a bit longer, is that true?

The harness is yours! I knew you had your column back together so I didn't think you needed an extra. When can we get together to get you the harness. I take C470 home from work if that helps.

Will do. Would have grabbed it today but the monsoon was about to hit so I had to skidaddle out of the yard quick like. The column is mostly complete. Someone yanked the steering wheel and tilt lever, but I can scrounge one up from another truck. If you want the van tilt instead (I've heard the same thing about them), I will double check on them. There were a few fans there but I forgot to take note of whether any were tilt.

I assume you are looking for pre-78 so the ignition is still mounted on the dash versus on the column?

Yep, pre-78 is what I'm after and I'd prefer the van column, not too worred if it is missing the wheel since I'll probably replace it anyway. Thanks for keeping an eye out for one.

Here's some wiring info on swapping to a later column: http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showth ... p?t=187752

Not sure if the van or truck column wiring is the same as the later EB column wiring but it's probably very close. I know the trucks used a 2 wire horn later than EB's did.
