Looking for an Explorer 5.0 oil pan

They came in steel and aluminum and I would like a steel one.

Anybody happen to have what I am looking for or know where I can get it ?

I have an EB oil pan off of a 74'. It's yours for the asking.

I'm not sure that an early 302 pan will fit a 5.0 ?

It can work. The difference is the newer block has hole in the pan rail for the new style dipstick and the EB pan is not clearanced for it. You could plug the hole in the block to make it work.

Why do you want the steel Explorer pan instead of the aluminum? Just wondering because my Explorer motor has the aluminum pan.

Steel would be more forgiving if something were to hit it. It might bend rather than crack like the aluminum would.

My 5.0 has a steel pan but the PO beat it with a hammer to get it to fit into the Ranger he was installing it in.

Right on, thought they might be different shape and have issues fitting or something.

Thanks
