5.0 car upper intake manifold

Postby Gunnibronco » Thu Dec 22, 2011 5:28 pm

I'm looking for a 5.0 car upper EFI manifold. Anyone have an extra they need to get rid of?

There are lots available on car-part.com, but the shipping will kill the deal. If someone pulls one at a yard, I'll gladly reimburse you for the cost & your time. I'd just ask that you can hold it, or drop it off to a member willing to store it till I come to the front range, or I can meet up at an event. I'm not in any hurry at all, I'm sure I won't be putting the 351 in anytime soon. It will be March before I come to Denver, and I won't be on any trail runs with the club till spring or summer.

Thanks
Chad

What's up? I have an extra Explorer upper if you need it but it sounds like you are going a different direction. Give me a model or two of what your looking for and I'll start scouting around after the snow melts.

Thanks Mike,

My 351 is on a freight truck, somewhere between Pagosa Springs & Gunnison, finally. I'm hoping to see it tomorrow.

The Explorer upper will not bolt to the BCB adapter, but any car 5.0 upper will- Mustang, Crown Vic, Lincoln, T-bird. I'd like to keep it a passenger side intake, like the Explorer, so I don't have to swap my wiring around when I drop in the 351. I don't know which cars have the passenger side intake vs the driver side. Thanks for the offer, again, I'm in no hurry at all, so don't stress it, but if you stumble on one grab it. I wish we had a salvage yard closer, the gas/freight makes parts scrounging expensive.

How much difference in height is there between T-bird, Mustang, Lincolns? I wondered, but never got around to asking.
