trans tunnel floor support channel

Postby Gunnibronco » Sat Dec 05, 2015 11:31 am

I will be removing the NP435 from my 66 and replacing it with the correct 3 speed. I need some floor support channel to replace what was cut out to install the NP435 (top section, most of the driver side & a few inches of the passenger side). If someone is cutting this out of a truck or has a scrap tub with a decent section of channel.

If there was a complete dog house & channel run available, that would be ideal.

JBG lists the item as 66/67 specific, but I don't know what the difference is from the newer trucks. The rough dimensions are the same as my 74's channel, so I think I can use parts from any truck to do my patch.

Thanks

The forward support? I just cut a chunk out of mine. I can measure it if it will work for you.

6 1/8" wide. It's basically just the top section. None of the side piece. Based on you're picture, guessing it isn't enough.

Its not quite enough, but hang onto it please. If I can't find a whole piece, maybe I can splice it together. Nobody's ever going to see it.

I've got this left over from a recent set of floorboards I did. Yours for the taking. It's pretty close to your drawing. I'd be happy to measure stuff if it'd help.

Cool, it's yours. When do you need it and what's the best way to get it to you? Happy to ship if that's the plan.

No hurry at all. Plans are to have it off the frame & blasted next summer. So sometime before July or August would be fine. LOL.

The first priority is getting the 74 running.
