Today was great - lots of sparks, welding, brews, and great food. Met at Greg's dream shop in Englewood. Greg would have impressed Martha Stewart - Breakfast Burritos and Donuts for Breakfast. Dan BBQ'ed Chilly Hot Dogs and killer sausage for lunch. Great food, great group, a ton of fun, and really nice finished product. There is a lot of talent in this Group. Thanks to Greg for the generous hospitality, Dan for lending his experience and talent, Justin for making today fun, and Kirk for sharing his extremely valuable time before leaving.

Really cool to see treads and rtreads today too. Treads Bronco is beyond cool.

I showed up a little late this morning after the crazy night at Kinder's Send Off Party last night lmao

Thanks to everyone for making such a fun day working on Broncos. If ya missed it, there may be a Part II for the Front Bumpers but hard to top today.

Another great day and late night, when will it ever end? Too soon for my liking, I'll post up pics when I get a spare second, for now I'm out the door for the trail run.

Post Re: CCB Bumper Build
I had a total blast yesterday, thanks to everyone who made it. I learned lots, got to hang out the the Bronco people, and got to spend time making big pieces of metal into smaller ones. No worries on my bumper, 75, I was really appreciative of everything you did. It was especially great to meet a few of the newer members who stopped by to check things out. Many thanks to Dan for letting me play with his torch. Hadn't used one before and I may have to pick one up just to destroy stuff after bad days at work.

Sorry folks for the late write up, and it will have to wait another day. tomorrow morning with some more pictures including the finished product. Just have not had time to go online at a computer and up dates on the phone are a real pain.

Suffice it to say thanks to all for your help, for the food, and most of all for coming out and joining the fun and fellowship.

There were a few tools discovered that appeared, I will take pictures and post them in the morning as well for their owners to claim

Post Re: CCB Bumper Build
It's official-

We have the best, most amazing, increadible car club anywhere.

We came together here in my shop on Saturday morning, more of an all day open house, grab a tool, lend a hand, throw some sparks, tell a story, build a bumper kind of day. I have no idea how many showed up in the end. Some said 15, but if someone told me 25 I would not be shocked. The last final hold outs were Drew, Kirk and I and we pulled out of the lot at 11:53pm with 2 functional almost complete bumpers. Yes, we finally did allow Drew to come out and play with us at around 4 in the afternoon. I know we had some very cool rigs here too. I was a little busy trying to keep the breakers reset (Roger, I have your drill and hole saw's, I am holding them hostage until you come over and replace those weak ass breakers) and chasing sharp drill bits around to spend much time talking to many of you, but those I did, I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know. There will be another build or 2 or 3 or 17 here in my shop so keep the dirrections. We need a rear bumper part 2 in the next week or 2 just to wrap up Justin's I think with some of the expert fabricators in this club, and having already mostly completed 2 of them, if we start early we can have it done before noon then hit a trail for an afternoon run.

And yes, Front bumpers are on the list for later this spring or early summer. Start the thread - lets get a design up and figure out the details.

Yeah, I think this is a pretty good place for our major club builds. Plenty of room for several projects and a good place to hang out. The weather was perfect, left the door open so builders and bronco buddies alike could come and go. Even had a potential new member stop by who noticed all the rigs in the lot and asked "do you rebuild these old bronco's here? I have 2 of them" I explained the club and what was going on and told him to look us up on line, join up and join the fun.

Special thanks to Dan, Cody, Kirk, Justin, Chad, Roger and a few others who really stepped up and pulled the tools out, offered design advice and kept us moving forward.

First thing first, Greg, thanks a ton for hosting and burning the midnight oil with me. Also thank your boys for lending a hand so my old butt could do other things.

Dan - what can I say but I need to learn to weld like you and maybe just maybe be more attentive to details. And don't forget the great sausage.

Corey - thanks a ton for staying late and laying down some beads for all of us.

Justin - if you would have stayed we would have finished your bumper, I'm sure Greg thinks the same.

Rox - thanks a ton for the chili, I'll get your crock back to you this week. Tell Angie thanks again for dropping it off.

Okay - it's starting to sound like the Grammy's around here, so onto the pics.

We pushed it a bit more forward on carrier (more towards the driver side) so the latch bar went just past the pivot point of the hinge when in the closed position, created a good fulcrum and locked it down solid.
