Re: 89 Cobra motor
Looks ok if the price is right. My only concern is how much it has been beaten on. I would take an explorer engine over a mustang engine as it has better heads, better intake and such. Plus it is less likely to have been hot rodded its whole life. Why not inject your current motor? It seemed like a decent motor when we all went snow bashing?

Re: 89 Cobra motor
Talk to Viperwolf about his hindsight and how he would go with a 351w instead of his 5.0 nowadays.

Re: 89 Cobra motor
Did you get a response out of him? I ran across this ad myself and sent him an email as a donor car for my sons 66 mustang. He has not replied.... of couse it was easter.
We are just starting to consider donor cars so if you get to him do not save it for me. I have actually been looking at Klode for a wreck that I can pick up cheap cheap cheap....

Re: 89 Cobra motor
They never made a "Cobra" motor in 89. First one was 93. Just an fyi.

Re: 89 Cobra motor
ZOSO - what brand of EFI harness did you recommend that I install on my 351?

Re: 89 Cobra motor
Rebuilt to be very fast in a lightweight car? Not the same as fast in a heavy Bronco.
That's too much money for a used motor from an abused car. The explorer motor would be a better choice. 351w even better.

Re: 89 Cobra motor
that car looks like a piece of sh*t alright, I doubt the engine is going to be a nice built High performance "cobra" engine. Its probably the same guy that sold my 69 mustang and tried to tell me he made 300 bucks hr building race engines but had no idea where the FE dipstick tube was so his story came up as "The Dealership removed them for the AC installation" (which was Factory in 69)
