Installed my Explorer windshield washer / radiator overflow tank. Also added all new lines to and from the tank. It really cleaned up that area of my engine compartment and looks like it came from the factory that way.

Thanks to Viperwolf for the info on the tank. Great Mod!!!!

Tonight I'll be adding spring loaded needles & seats and whistle tubes to my Holley to help out in the hills.

Looks good. I plan to do a little tunning to my carb while we are up there this time, so we can tune yours in as well.

That Explorer tank looks new - did you Armor All it? Was it in a 2012 Explorer?

I like that, I'm missing all the components for the wash and also the overflow so I think I'll be following that route as well. Anything to look for besides looking for a 90's explorer setup?

Nothing that I know of to look for really. I know some of the guys have found them in pick and pulls for less than $10. I don't have alot of time to go to salvage yards so I found mine on Ebay. Got it for $25 shipped to my door. Just make sure the pump motor works as those are like $35 new. The other nice thing about it is the Bronco connector hooks right up to it. No mods needed there and I only drilled 1 new hole to mount it. I used the OE top inner fender bolt to mount the forward tab to. Real easy to do. Took me about 45 minutes to do the complete job. Good luck, you'll like it.

You'll find one in less that 10 minutes at any junkyard and it'll take you another 10 to get it out. There were a couple in the yard in Dacono when I was there last, but that place isn't cheap.

So somebody went through all the trouble and custom work to install a 6 speed but they never upgraded the brakes from drums?? What 6 speed is it? If the transmission shop KNOWS it is a 6 speed they should be able to tell you exactly which one it is? May be one of the first 6 speeds in a bronco I have heard of. shrug What t- case is behind it? Who makes the custom bell housing? We need some pictures of this beast of a transmission crammed into a bronco! laughing2

Goldenboy - Were you driving the bronco? A six speed would be sweet. Not sure how the clutch was limitting 2 gears........Were you always running high RPM's cruising in 4th, or was there a huge gear drop from 2nd to 5th? Curious to see this one.

Picked it up from the frame shop today. They measured up down and at every angle and can't find any issue with the frame. Not sure what the next step is.

Called Roadrunner Fab to get an ETA on my powdercoating but he couldn't give me a firm date. I was hoping to have it today for the weekend:(

Let's see pics, I am jealous. I thought the nv 4500 was sweet. So it's a nv5600 or the

Thanks to Classic69Bronco who gave me a donor Wshield frame...Today was spent removing the old WS...straightening the new one and reworking some of the problem areas on the new WS. At the end of the day...I have a straight frame that's rewelded in the corners, smoothed, and painted on one side...

I have to say up front that the WS frame I had had the worst rot Ive ever seen at the bottom...and whoever decided that 38 spot welds was what it would take to keep the WS frame on needs smacked in the head...

and YES...I USED A FORKLIFT TO PULL MY WS FRAME STRAIGHT...whatever works!

(yesterday) got her all ready for today's wheelin trip

checked all the fluids and was surprised to find it 2 quarts low on oil so I spent time trying to track down the leak(s)

all I could find was the oil sender leaking (slightly) and even smaller leaks at the valve covers. I guess I will have to keep my eye on it more.
