It was good to meet and talk Broncos for awhile...I really appreciate the frame. I wasn't sure i'd be able to use it, but it worked out great. I'm glad I could just straighten the one rather than trying to weld 2 together and get it right. I owe you one!

I am intrested in your hydroboost. I am halfway through a disc conversion and am still trying to figure out how I am going to add a boost. I plan to hook up the proportioning/residual pressure valve from an '84 Jeep Wagoneer to the original master cylinder. At the moment I have no idea how well that will work.

This is a what if scenario, but you might not have to use a prop valve. I used the original EB splitter block and have been for 4-5 years without a problem. Sometimes you need it, some times you don't, it just depends on if your Bronco lets you. I have seen where the exact same setup as mine required a prop valve and then you have me, who didn't need it. Just to clip a coupon, try doing it with out and see how it works, if it doesn't, then get your valve. Unless it is a daily driver, what does it hurt?

Yesterday, I started on my 3spd floor shifter and t-case lever conversion. I have to adjust my 2 to 3 linkage, grinding a bit going in 2nd. I still need to attach the t-case linkage.

It was a good weekend.

what type of shifter is that? I have a Mr gasket shifter I picked up to install if I can not get my column shift to work and do not want to cut a big hole in my floor if I do not have to but I may end up doing that anyway. I dont know if this shifter I have will even work after looking under there at least ten different times. I think ill go look again right now.

I swapped my rear tires n rims out for a different set. need to find one more matching white spoke (or black) 16" rim to have a complete set.

and YES...I USED A FORKLIFT TO PULL MY WS FRAME STRAIGHT...whatever works!

I need to weld mine back down onto the hinge, did you have problems with getting it set correctly when you mounted it on the hinge?

I'll have to get back to you on that one...I just have the two bolts in it for now. I wanted to get both sides painted and the areas that are hidden by the windshield painted before welding it.

My plan though is to put both bolts in...then put some light tack welds at the ends. Hopefully its enough to keep it in the right place when I fold the windshield down to weld. And by the way...Im not planning to put nearly as many welds down as it comes with...38-44 spot welds is overkill in my opinion...especially when its staying in place just fine with just the two bolts on.

If you get to yours before I do, let me know how it goes. Thanks

Drove up to Roadrunner Fabrication and picked up my powdercoated cage:) Had 3 buddies over last night and we had the thing mounted and bolted down (28 of them) in about 1 hour. I couldn't be happier with it. We went for a drive and there wasn't one rattle or noise from it. Will post pics soon in the other thread.

Disassembled the front axle sans the carrier, ordered and received a master rebuild kit for the same. All ready now for the tech class next weekend.
Pulled the tranny pan and replaced the filter as well as pulled the reverse servo cover and replaced the seal.

Drew welded in the hitch in the rear bumper and all the end caps, it is done... (finally). Then we adjusted the track bar to bring the front axle over about 3/8" (new tires causing serious rub on drivers side radius arms... now need to re-center the steering wheel and alignment) but tire rub is the same both sides and very minimal. Spacers or more offset wheels will fix it.

Good thing we have the adjustable track bar - there is no more in it, shortest possible, and it is about 3/4" shorter than the stock one.

I installed my 1" Body Lift tonight. I am shocked how big a difference it makes - air cleaner fits, moves 23 gallon tank up, more clearance on rear tires, wiring will hide above frame, and just all around looks better. Love the WH kit with the integrated 1" bushings.

Got some safety upgrades done. Installed my shiny new 3 point belts to get rid of the dangerously mounted 4 point harnesses. Went through and replaced most of the mounting hardware on my roll bar. Turns out the previous owner didn't believe in putting washers between the body and the nuts, added some great big ones to reinforce the body a little.

Why were they mounted so dangerously. Were they welded into sheet metal. I have seen it before bangtard

Built a new track bar and mount. Wish I would have made a little taller, but functions good. No bump steer and took off my lowering bracket, since i have heard the horror stories of frames shearing apart

Also I did a little tweaking on a rail barrier at work.

The shoulder straps were mounted to the roll bar. I'm sure they would have done a fine job of breaking my collarbones as I slid through them in a wreck. One side of the lap belts was bolted through the sheet metal with only a 1" washer for reinforcement. The other side was mounted in the factory location, so that was OK. Some of the stuff on my truck was done really well, others not so much.

Picked up a Hurst shifter from Jason on here and cut my hole in the floor, mounted the brackets and fought with the linkage. Found some pics of the assemblies with linkage but it doesnt seem to want to fit right on mine.
