Progress on my 66....
I had hoped to have my hands on this by now, but I know Dan at Broncoconnection is doing a good job on this. In the meantime, I've been playing with this toy I bought!

Re: Progress on my 66....
The paint in the pics from Bronco Connection look amazing. This is going to be one beautiful truck. I wouldn't feel bad its taking a while longer, when it is looking that good.

That looks great. It'll be a sweet rig for sure. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Re: Progress on my 66....
I am anxious for it to get here. Dan is suppose to deliver in the next couple weeks. My step son stopped in yesterday to check on it in Norfolk. Can't wait to bring it to an event/breakfast, etc. and get some ideas and pointers.
I would not say I am a pavement pounder, but will probably not be the adventurous off-roader many here are. I want to keep the original look, down to the hub caps. What size wheel and tire would you recommend understanding I will probably not be crawling up the side of Longs Peak anytime soon. I want something that will work in weather, get me around and down a trail, but work for tooling around town and to and from work.

Re: Progress on my 66....
x2 depending on gearing. If you're running 3.5 or 3.73 gears the 6 cylinder may struggle some. For occasional use I'd find some old school looking mud terrains, but A/Ts may suit your needs better.

Next steps??? Careful or Zilla will have you driving over innocent cars in the parking lot. Besides, you already know what needs to be done. Hit the trails with the club! Seriously, it looks really nice. Congrats.

Re: Progress on my 66....
Tires scheduled for Monday morning. Going to go with a Goodyear Duratrac 31X9.5. Knobby and gnarly, fill some space, get er down the road in good order. Need to get underneath it and drive her around a bit to see what is next, but it will look good and have a solid body and engine. Great start to a lifelong toolin rig for this old grandpa!!!
