Some days it just pays to own an EB!
Yesterday was one of those days: The boys had a hockey game at 10:15 (let me tell you how nice it is to have them on the same team for once....) and after the game we went down to the shop to clean up a little, I posted the pictures of the shop/tech day while they swept and loaded up JTS' welder and Shane's Extension cord. Once the shop was back in glass shop shape, off Drew and I went to deliver those tools. Dan went on home. Riding over to Shane's house, with Drew driving - 3 different times we received comments and "thumbs up" then between Shane's and JTS's we were tooling along 470 and this new Camaro goes blowing past us - from both the driver and passenger. That was mutual. Silver camaro, looked pretty good to me. I looked at Drew and he was grinning ear to ear as he is driving along. There is a thread right now on CB.com about the love/hate some have with their rigs. Love to drive them, not so much working on them... I have never had that issue with any of the project vehicles I have owned. Always love em. I like working on them, love to drive em. But I must say - this is the ugliest of all the projects I have ever owned and I have had it the shortest time but we get more comments on it than any other. Yesterday was a good day - And all the repairs we did worked great. Nice to know how much fuel we have for once. Trans shifts like it should and when you press the brake, it stops. Nice! And worth every single dime it costs to build it, fill it up and drive it.

Nice. Got a few on the trail last weekend myself! Always cool when someone (1) knows it's a bronco and (2) lets you know they like it. Wonder if the Black Dodge Viper I the other day had a mutual feeling...nah probably not. J.D.

I have gotten more comments about my Bronco than I have my 67 Mustang and my 64 F100. I was hauling it home and a guy in an older CJ7 went rolling by with a They are unique vehicle's alright and just about anyone enjoys them.

There aren't many vehicles that get so much attention. And you can always, always, count on a wave from another EB. Some times I get waves from Jeeps, Scouts, old pick up trucks, and I'm surprised. I guess I shouldn't be. Usually, the wave comes from a car I'm checking out myself, so you know the owner is probably a "car guy". My 911 is similar, anyone in an old (air cooled) 911 will always give you a nod or wave. Not so much from the new generation of doctor's Porsches.
I consider my truck "ugly", the body is misaligned & showing the usual Bronco rust, the blue paint is peeling down to the original yellow in places, and it hasn't been washed in the 15 years I've owned it (except for the occasional rain storm), but I get a lot of nice comments. A couple summers ago, I took a night job @ a liquor store to make ends meet, and I had more customers tell me that they had admired my Bronco for years, and that it was one of the "coolest" trucks in town. That is awesome!

One of my favorite things about the club is getting to see a bunch of them in one place, with none of them being identical.

I had a similiar type thing happen last week. Was driving home through the neighborhood by my house and walking towards me on the sidewalk was a college age couple, with a rather attractive female who rubbernecked, smiled and waved. meanwhile her BF was looking at her like what the heck. Had me crackin up for a few blocks. He musta been a jeep guy.
