Got the new column in. It's a tad too short, but it'll work fine. Tomorrow, the lower steering shaft and steering wheel go back on.

Headed out to start the front disc brakes after picking up the spindles and hubs from Shane. Wish me luck. Jayson

Installed a free window sticker from Wild Horses. They also sent me a cool t-shirt. Surprising what you can get thrown in when you cry uncontrollably on the phone about the cost of new 31 Spline HD axles No surprise, the axles, bearings, bushings, and retainers that Jim recommended fit perfectly.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Unspooled my winch and put a new end on the line so I can respool it and hope it holds the weight. I need to source some sticky back rubber strap to spool on the drum first to help the cable bite.

So from a MUCH earlier post -- "Today she gets all of the unnecessary mechanical equipment taken off from under the hood." I assume that means the smog / emissions control piping and the air pump, etc.?

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Drove to work and someone had a truck and 35 foot trailer in front of where I park...no problem...over the curb I went to get around it. Stopped by Advance as my blinker switch had gotten water in it...replaced it for free...now Ive weatherproofed the switch to avoid the same thing happening.

Had to break the news to mine that she wasn't going camping with us this weekend... :(
But I plugged her into the battery tender to keep her young and fresh!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Performed last night:
Connected header pipes and new mufflers up; Finished cover over NP435 tranny (tranny still on shop floor 'cause of the lack of tranny-to-xfer adapter); Filled new (to this buggy) Dana 44 axle, tired 3 speed tranny, xfer case, old 9" ford rear axle; Put cotter pins in new tie rod assembly; Reconnected engine (carberator, heater, etc); Reinstalled, cleaned up and filled battery; Inspected new (to this buggy) front disk brakes;
Tried to start it and ended by scratching my head over why it wasn't pulling fuel out of the tank.

Took out the frozen 302 and started prepping the Donor 302 for install! Craziness.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Certainly what I need to look at next -- after the engine. My doors sag a bit (passenger worse than driver) and are hard to close and I've got what I am told are "normal" rust spots inside the engine compartment right where the inner fender meets the firewall.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Got the driver side floor pan cut out. Got the new one fitted. Will weld it in tomorrow and work on a few other patches. Gonna order up some flairs and start cutting fenders.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Started tearing my dash out to troubleshoot my no-start issue/possible prep for a new wiring harness. I hate Ford at the moment. Those stupid 7 screws in the dash panel from under the windshield frame added about 30 more minutes on to the job than I wanted.

I suppose the belt will stretch some more over the next few weeks and it will return

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Got the drivers side floor pan all cut out and the new one screwed in. Ready to be welded. Was just too damn hot outside to be welding. I really need a bigger garage. Was gonna order up my flairs so I cn start cutting fenders before I start prep for paint.
