Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
BlastTech does great work but they are pricey. I had my axles done there as well as a bunch of other parts. I just had them do the 2 Explorer serpentine brackets with bead media...$15 which wasn't bad.

Started building my new roll cage today! Coming along pretty nicely!! :-) Built and installed my new rock slider on the passenger side to match my new drivers side. Oh and started narrowing my hood 10".

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Got the springs of the drivers side, but needed the grinder and a BFH as the bolt was rusted to the middle metal spacer, which then took a press and a sawzall to get the rest out. What a pain in the a**. JP

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Put a new ignition coil in and now I can't find my heat shrink tubing so I can solder the wiring together on the new coil connector. I also installed a new e-brake cable from Tom's that was about 2" too fawking short. AND I found out I'm missing two Snap-on wrenches from a couple of pull and pay excursions................Just another day in paradise.

Found that damn missing piece from a fuel bowl from yesterday. So I got that put back together and on the truck. No more leaking fuel all over.

Dropped the new window frame for my soft doors off at the upholster. Hope she can finish before the snow run!

I put more parts in the back of it (DS floorboard in this case) that I don't have time to install...stupid house needs to sell so I can have more time to play.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Rolled a 351W from a 96 F250 off a freight truck, into our shop. Pulled the plugs, shined a light down the cylinders, all looked good, still can see crosshatching in the cylinder walls. Wow there is a lot of crap on this motor that I don't need, much more than the Explorer 5.0.
Had to attend to worsening plumbing problems, so the EFI swap took a night off. On the plus side, the plumbing problem is fixed with less work than I expected. Note to self: don't clean drywall tools in the bathtub, use a hose, outside. I suppose none of you married guys would have gotten away with it, but here is a case where the nagging voice would have been right. I thought about it when I was doing it, weird, it took about 2 years to stop everything up.

Finished installing my rear springs and took the dogs for a short drive thru the snow. I plan on driving it the next couple of days. JP

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Yesterday & today I spent my free time stripping all the junk off my 96 F250 351, and getting it bolted to a stand. I pulled the front accessories off the 351, what is the difference between the Explorer serp & the truck serp set up? Can the truck set up work in the EB?
I pulled the dizzy and found a steel gear, that means its a roller camshaft. I had read different opinions on if the truck motors had roller cams, and honestly I was expecting a flat tappet camshaft. I read the 351 rollers used the Explorer camshaft, is this right?
Another bonus, the ECT, TPS, and IAB were all the "old" style, so they match the RJM harness. I was going to use Explorer sensors that would need the pigtails swapped, but not now. I'm going to update my EFI thread with more progress & problems.
edit: also does anyone know if I wanted to keep my v-belt set up, could my waterpump bolt to this timing chain cover? The Flowkooler w/p I have is the same p/n as the 351. Or would I have to get an old style timing chain cover?

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Thanks for info, lots more to think about. Makes sense about the timing chain cover/water direction.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
got my warflares installed on friday that I bought back in november. It does totally change the look. I am also looking for some 8inch wide wheels as I have 10's now and do not really care for the look with the 33's x 12.5's. JP
