I brought all my tools, a 351W, a used dash, and a new set of 3.5" W/H rear springs home from my old job at the body shop. Now I just need to get some work on my house done, so I get the barn wood, gas stove, and bath vanity installed in my home, and clear some space in the garage to pull my Bronco in.

Those are slick Viper!

I'm awaiting the UPS man's arrival today to drop off a Python alarm system I'll be installing. I also bought a 2 zone montion sensor as an add on. I'll probably hook up the starter kill and motion sensors.....since it's a soft top, I think that'll do.

I am planning one when my Bronco is finished as well. The Python is a great product. I LOVE doing my own stereo/amp/speaker installs, but I leave alarm installs to the pros.

What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)

Postby airbur » Thu Mar 08, 2012 7:43 pm

Got the alarm installed today. Most time was spent running wires and figuring out which ones to tap. The starter kill is hooked up but it's not working yet. I know I have the right wire (blue/red) since when I pull the relay, it won't start. Not sure what the issue is yet.

While I was under there I decided to remount my fuel gauge selector switch. Since it doesn't fit in the stock spot with the cage, I mounted it just under the gauge cluster.

Nice! I am very impressed. I may try my own. So did you get any extra sensors (glass breakage, force field, motion)?

Finished and mostly installed my dash today! Still a little wiring to clean up and the stereo finish installed but this was a big step I wasn't looking forward to.

I got the windshield wipers and rear view mirror re-installed today. Also got the alarm receiver and LED mounted. New windshield looks great.

While the family and I were hanging outside this afternoon with the Bronco, a red Bronco pulled onto our street I'd never seen before. They swung around and stopped. We met Seth and his wife. They just bought the Bronco and got it tuned up so it's drivable. Very nice Bronco and a good starting point.

Was great to meet two new Bronco owners and friends. I mentioned the meet on Sat. but they can't make it.

In preparation for todays snow bash, we fitted the chains, loaded up the ammo cans worth fluids, tools and recovery equipment. We also finished the door panels, side panels and headliner, including covering the wiper cover with realtree camo fabric.

And we installed the 1.5 inch wheel spacers for a new wider stance and over all tougher look..... Oh yeah and the tires don't rub anymore

A snow bashin, here we go!

Rox - you will love the concealed weapon lockbox - great way to utilize the un-used underseat space.

I removed the Wild Horses decal and installed my new CCB Window Sticker . . .

All new floor pans?

Hmmm, starting to sound more and more like a full on frame off rebuild. Not just a refresh. Kind of like my wife telling me she will be ready to go in 45 minutes... yep - 45 minutes after we were supposed to leave.

Take a look at your high beam switch. Mine did exactly the same thing and that was the issue. You can run a jumper around it to connect the low beams as a way to diagnose it if the issue continues.
