That is a great looking truck. Sounds like you really got a good deal - I will be taking you to the dealer when I order my next vehicle! Love the white.

Re: Zillas New Toy Tug
Nice looking truck. I am somewhat partial to the white. Throw a nice camo-wrap around the rockers to make it look different. Those look best on a white truck. I think I like the Autumn Red, but I really have to see one in person to know for sure. 1-ton or 3/4? I hope to over your truck someday and excited to hear your reviews as the weeks and months roll on. What axle ratio did you get? LS or open? With those mods you plan, I assume the warranty is out the window? Speaking of, what is the current warranty? Doesn't seem to have too much downward rake to it. How much lift does a leveling kit give you? What color is the interior? Sorry, my questions are kinda spread out. Just asking as they come to mind. I hope to be in your position in a few years... I was reading in a 4x4 magazine the other day that the trucks with the short bed only have like a 21 gallon tank? This article was about a 50 gallon retrofit. Mainly interested because I think I want the short bed, unless for some crazy reason, we find a house with a nice shop or huge garage.

Re: Zillas New Toy Tug
Personally I'd look into a custom chip by DP tuner if they do the 6.7's. Thats what I want to do. Mike(777) knows more about it but jody will do a straight up custom tune for you. If you want a towing tune load up your camper and bronco and he will tune as you are pulling up floyd hill. Cant get better than that. Hell of a lot safer than just a "boxed" generic tune.
I just looked it up and DP doesnt do the 6.7's yet. But that is the way i'd go.

Re: Zillas New Toy Tug
I agree Zoso. Tom with the Colorado Diesel Truck Club hosts a custom tuning day with Jody each year. They head out of denver up I-70 with Jody riding shotgun and asking you want you want along the way. I had plans someday to do that for my 7.3, but won't ever get there now. I would imagine they are working on something for the 6.7...

Re: Zillas New Toy Tug
Nice truck, You did get the new diesel also which is supposed to be an actual Ford diesel and apparently they have eliminated all of the major issues the previous diesels had.

Re: Zillas New Toy Tug
That would be fun. So your gonna have to put it in 4wd while towing so you can just start out from a stop? Those 6 speeds are pretty low geared 1st and 2nd which makes for fun taking off from a stoplight.

What time are you picking me up for the camping trip? And don't forget to leave room on the trailer for my toys!
