Those lockboxes are sweet...I want one. I can't see it being useful as a concealed access point though. By the time you get into it and retrieve anything, it'd be a bit to late.

for the past 3 weeks i've been working on replacing driver side kick panel, inner rocker, door post, rocker, fender, inner fender, floor panels.. and today I FINALLY got the doors alligned right (almost perfect) so now I can take out the self tapping screws and spot weld it all together... I'll be showing up to meet in a bronco by mid summer for sure.

Good progress! Hanging those damn doors is a PITA!

I got new(used) clutch fork spring installed. Then I spent 3 hours clay-barring my 4Runner....it's a pain in the butt but so worth it.

Powertrax No-Slip, picked it up from Off Road Ltd (they had a great price w/ mil discount), originally wanted to drop it into my old carrier but ran into a bearing size prob, hence a complete build.

In between checking EFI codes, I fixed my horn. Had to put new aluminum tape behind the horn button on my Grant steering wheel. 14 years, and multiple disassemblies & reassemblies had damaged the contact surface. Still pretty wimpy, but at least it works. I need a real horn, like Zilla's.

Zilla, I wish I knew you were keeping cooper. I have a little, and I mean a little here, so it's not worth it to me to take to the scrap yard. It's a U-shape from a defunct indoor fountain.

Be happy to give it to anyone.

Absolutely! That's some good coin for sure! I may have 2-3 lbs in that one loop. Still not worth the special trip. But I guess I should find out where the recycler is. Maybe it's more convenient than I know??

Airbur, that looks very familiar.

Last night, I finally had enough confidence in my Bronco to drive it out to my friend's shop and have my tires swapped onto my "new" rims. Changed from Centerline HTIIs 15x10, to refurbed & repainted steel 15x8. Didn't go black, seems to be done a lot today, but went with a gray close to Audi bumpers. The new rims made the overall width a couple inches narrower, that is a good thing, since swapping to f/w axles, I felt like 1/2 the tire was hanging outside the flares. Still will end up with the wide flares from WH soon. The overhang sprays the side & inside of the truck with mud, snow, etc too much. Sorry the pics aren't great, by the time I took them the sun was setting and made it hard to get a good shot.

And she got a bath today. Since I have a facility dedicated to washing cars @ Avis, hopefully my fleet will stay cleaner.

Installed new header gasket on drivers side. It blew the whole back cylinder gasket out the last wheeling trip. Then washed it to get 3 wheeling trips worth of mud off.

My youngest grandson asked to go for a ride in papa's Bronco without the top. He saw a Jeep this past week with the top down and told his mama that he wanted to ride like that in papa's Bronco. So needless to say I removed all 3 windows and left it safari style. He came over and saw it and asked if we could put it down. Rob told him he'd get sunburned if we did so he was content. I had to put the back seat back in so me and him, daddy and sister could go for a ride. Took him to Jax so he could get a new pair of shoes. Watched him sitting in the back seat with a grin ear to ear the whole time. He and sister both had a ball.

I swapped out my old tranny cooler for a 96 explorer cooler. The old one was mounted on the underside of the radiator but i moved the newer one up in front. I'm not sure how I will notice any difference (other than not smashing it on a trail).

I also pulled the rear axles and dropped the third member. I'll be taking it to that dude in Erie and he'll build me a 4 pinion Limited slip. While he's working on that I'll be putting in new seals, picking up my sissy pink coffee cup (and asking Dan to press on some axle bearings), pulling and putting in new axle seals, wheel cylinders and rebuild the drums.

cool.

Update: I soldered the radiator tube from the tranny cooler mishap. works good so far but really wont test it until the center / axle / drums, are back together.

It is battery powered with 5-bright LED lights and run on 3 AAA Batteries from Rampage on Amazon.com for $15.00 - 60 second install. Even has a magnet if ya wanna stick it instead of the roll bar mount.

Looks really good! Not to be the safety nazi (again), but how much clearance is there between the extinguisher and the rear seat occupant? It looks like it could rotate around the bar and smack that passenger in the head in a high speed impact.
