Atlas transfer case
How does an atlas 4.8 transfer case and 4.56 rear gears affect my engine rpms? Just curious I guess.....

Re: Atlas transfer case
Here are some gear calculators to play with. http://www.rocky-road.com/calculator.htmlAre you looking for crawl ratio? We'd need to know what tranny you have too and size of tire. Oh and what you have currently. Feel free to put that stuff in your signature too. For crawl ratio, just multiply tranny first gear, t-case low, & axle gears. If you have an auto, you can multiply your first gear by 2 to compensate for torque converter. For instance my setup: 5.72 tranny 3.8 t-case 4.10 axles = 89:1 crawl ratio. Are you look at new Atlas's?

Re: Atlas transfer case
For some reason, I thought you were higher than that JD. I'm at 67:1 and I thought you were over double what mine is. I don't know why I thought that, but I did.
