Didn't do anything to my Bronco. Trouble shooting fuel pressure problems on badlands 66. I also squeezed in a few minutes to install the dp-tuner f5 in my psd. Wow that thing woke up now.

Crawler, that thing is sweet! I hope to see it drive over some stuff sometime soon. On mine I got the primer on the new body panels laid down. Progress!

Hit Liberty trail, broke a valve stem off. Fixed it, now it just needs some TLC to fix leaks here and there. My locker slipped a couple times too, so I guess I am going to have to drop the cover and see what's up!

After the monthly breakfast, we went to Pirtek to have the hose made for Drew's Saginaw power steering pump and hopefully get that one last remaining project from the engine install complete. I had called them on Friday afternoon to confirm that they were indeed open on Saturdays as their web site claimed. The gentleman who answered did in fact confirm this so we were quite excited. We arrived at the door to find it locked so I called again, the same gentleman answered and was rather "short" with me on the phone. Long story made short, the web site, and the sign on the door are incorrect - they are not open on Saturdays after all...

And this clowns attitude cost him at least one easy customer. I will find another vendor today.

So instead we worked on other projects all weekend long. The drivers door has decided to quit working from the outside this time... took it apart and wished I had smaller arms and hands to re-connect everything. Put everything else except the missing hose.

Today I will get the hose made up, purchase a belt and some PS fluid and tonight we will pull Drew's little pony out of the garage to watch him drive off down the street solo for the first time ever...

I yanked the rear bumper off, gonna try my hand at welding my own bumper with some winch points finally. :Welding: The old bumper came off to reveal some patch work done to the frame opendings by the previous owner, and they don't look so good. flipoff I will have to make due.

Picked up the lower half of the GT40 intake that I had to leave behind due to a stripped bolt. Has those nice coolant lines along the PS side. Also grabbed the GT40 heads.

I just want to hear the stories from those stickers!

Got my new steering shaft installed. Now to decide on a front locker... Aussie is on backorder. Another $75 gets me a spartan, but Aussie is better from what I hear.

Damage is pretty minor actually. Drivers front fender and hard top. Roll cage kept the top from folding in more and did not even break the glass in the windshield, door, top or mirror. And the door works better now than it did before...

But she will not start now - starter makes a lot of noise but the engine does not turn. Drew is pulling the starter today after school to see about it.

Yikes, starting to look like mine! Will the engine turn over by hand? Did you pull spark plugs on the downhill (drivers) side?

Motor will not turn by turning the fan, but then again it never has, and no - we did not pull the spark plugs, that is a good idea - I will tell Drew to do that before he installs the new starter.

New starter, U-joint and quick adjustment to the transfer case linkage and you would never know that Drew laid his little pony on her side..... Oh yeah, other than the mashed drivers front fender and big ding on the roof over the drivers door....

I agree, in fact my parents do as well. I told them about it yesterday and my mom reminded me of my first car - a 68 VW bug that I had saved a whole year to buy, I had it registered and on the street exactly 3 days before I managed to make a poor choice and turned in front of on coming traffic, and totaling the car. My mother says it changed the way I drove imeadiatly. Not something I ever noticed but I guess she did. I hope he has the same result, drives somewhat safer now.

The only real damage is to Drew's wallet, he had to pay for the trailer, fuel, starter, U-joints, fluids etc, just to get it back on the road, and will have to pay for a new fender and repair his hard top - or find a good used one somewhere. So far he is out nearly $250, and that is eating quite quickly into his gas fund.... summer job can not start soon enough for that boy.

Great story Greg! I'm sure we can all relate to it. My grandfather started on me when I was 6-7 years old when he was teaching me about dirt bikes. I would crash...break something and have to do chores to fix them. No free ride!
