Looking for a frame.....
Anyone have a straight frame they are looking to get rid of?
Let me know what you have.
Thanks.

Re: Looking for a frame.....
I have a line on one - I just need sections for my stretch so if you want it, and want to give me your "tweaked" one in trade, I am all for it. If that is what you have in mind.
It will not be available for a few weeks though.

Re: Looking for a frame.....
That may work. My plan is to start a buildup on the "new" frame and transfer parts from my current setup. Will save a little space as far as the tear down goes. My frame will be available when I'm done but not sure when that will be.

Re: Looking for a frame.....
Eric - I was hoping to have my frame stretch done in the next few weeks I have been waiting for this frame to compare it to mine and use one as the foundation and the other for parts. Mine is straight but you know how that is... I think I recall another who has a frame that is twisted up a bit that I can use for my parts, I will confirm with him and if so - I will just get this one to you as soon as it is available. (the current owner is out of state for a few more weeks).
I do want the auto trans cross member out of the new frame if it is in decent shape.

Re: Looking for a frame.....
Why don't you use the good one and I'll keep looking. I'm in no rush and sounds like you can use the parts shortly.
Just fyi.....auto crossmember is the same as manual crossmember.

Re: Looking for a frame.....
hockey - I have a spare cross member for ya, plus I have the springs pulled and the hangers set aside. And if I'm your twisted frame guy, let's get it done in one go as it'll all fit in the back of my truck (frame will stick out a bit, or we can slide onto my small trailer).

Thank you!

Hockeydad...
You're also welcome to the stock crossmember from my build. It's laying in the scrap heap. I can bring it up when I drop off the saginaw and bracket.

Looking for a frame.....
Hockey.....go ahead and use the frame. I've decided not to remove the body. Will save that for when my son is older and can learn alongside me.
For now I'm going to clean up the engine bay and get this new drivetrain installed and get back in the road!
