Re: 4 degree steel shims Corrosion resistance. Are they solid zinc or just coated with zinc?

Re: 4 degree steel shims They are solid zinc. Zinc is softer than steel but works well on heavier vehicles because it tends not to work its way loose which sometimes happens with steel wedges. The zinc holds up well too. The only time I have seen one fail is on a cement truck. That was a little too much weight!
