Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
I saw your thread on google through Colorado4x4.org and wanted to pick your brain. I am doing alot of the work you have done and wanted to know if you could post that thread on CCB under General 4x4 technical. I ran into an issue with my truck when I pulled the kick panel and the DS drooped 1/4 "-1/2" and wanted to see how hard it was to get it back to normal.
Thanks, glad to see another bronco crazy!

Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
Drivers side cowl/windsheild? Thats what mine did. Not too bad to get back into place although it would have saved a bunch of time if I would have braced it first . First I measured the passengers side. Get measurements for the door opening, floorpan to cowl, floorpan to top (if you have one on the EB). I then used a rachet strap and a floor jack with a 3 ft 2x4 to lift and brace the DS cowl while I welded the kick panel in place. It took a couple tries to get it right and I ended up cutting and re-welding a few times. After I thought I had everything lined up right I used just enough welds to secure it enough to hold the door. With the door on you can check alignment in the door opening and the seal along the windshield and top. Here's a pic before I tacked the door post in place. I hope it helps. If you need measurements I can get them for you tomorrow.

Did you have the cowl off before so that it did not interfere with pushing up on the windshield frame? Was your kick panel where you noticed it (at the bottom where it should line up with the inner rocker)? Thanks for the help your pics look freakishly similar!

Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
I honestly can't remember the order the cowl was put on. Either before or after the kickpanel/door post. I moved things around so much and re-tacked stuff in place when it looked right. Again, my method was not science.
Are your pictures in another thread? If not, post them up. I'm interested to see what you're working with.

Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
Here is where i was to start and where I am now. Let me know what you think. I have more pics under member rigs. I have to move the kick panel about 1/4" up from this pic. Although I do have the upper bracket on the inside of the kick panel bolted in so maybe I don't have to move it that much.

Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
I think that looks pretty good vertically. I'd be more concerned about the kick panel's horizontal position. I used the indent in the kick panel as a guide for where it should be positioned vertically. Your's looks about the same as mine does. I don't think I'm going to be able to find the original measurements from when I did this a year ago but I can get some new ones tomorrow for you. Your best bet may be to tack your door post in place and mount your door. I know its a PITA but it really is the best way to check if everything is lined up.

Re: Anyone a member of Colorado4x4.org?
Don't worry about the measurements I will get the PS and compare...I checked from the floor to the top and striker to hinges and it looks pretty close, within a 1/4 of an inch. I may just have to persuade it a little more. Thanks for your input.
