Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
So I finally picked up a 4x6 horse stall mat at Tractor Supply the other day. I've been eyeing them for a while. 3/4" thick rubber, with one side textured, they weigh around 100#, for $40.00. I used a utility blade to cut piece to fit my rear floor (no rear seat), and 2 smaller pieces as floor mats for the driver & passenger. I cut them all pretty tight to the truck & they don't move around. Not fancy, but it killed some noise, and made the floors less slick w/snow, ice, or water. Cheapo rubber floor. I had a bed mat in an 87 F150 in highschool like this, and I've never found a similar material until now.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I got "Collector Tags" today. They were way cheaper than i thought they'd be. My annual renewal is $69.37, I expected the 5 year collector tags to have been 69.37*5=346.85. But mine were only $188.92. They only charged "road & bridge" @ $41 once. So I saved 4 years of "road and bridge". Plus my renewal month changed from November to December, so I got a free month too.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
About a week ago Viper came and helped me yank the T case and tranny. The tranny went home with Phil to get " Viper-ized" and the T case is getting rebuilt at home. I have the crossmember and some other parts in the "Electro-tank" getting clean.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I haven't officially done anything TO the Bronco this week but I have pimped out its crib. This picture looks like an ordinary garage, and that's kind of the point. Thursday, I had the entire garage rewired. Added 4 regular outlets, 1 220V outlet, 4 fluorescent lights, and 2 external motion sensing LED floodlights. Yesterday, I spent all day installing 1 of the garage door openers. Still have one to go. Now the garage is completely functional and awaiting the gem sitting on that orange engine stand. Picked up the 351W today from KBanks. Got to use the huge crane to load it up. Big thanks to Kevin, Jeremy, Kirk, and Willem for helping. My winter projects now await some attention!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Glad to see others posting up about what they're doing to their broncos! Today I finished resealing my steering gearbox and installed my new radiator. I went with an aluminum radiator with a lifetime warranty. The quality isn't the greatest but for as little as I drive my Bronco it should be just fine. The fitment was actually really good in my tube core support and the radiator does have a decent amount of movement so it shouldn't get stressed in the mounts and fail like my last broncos aluminum radiator did. Overall I am very happy with the radiator so far. I installed the same in my brother in laws Bronco this summer and it's been great so I'm not worried about it at all. I also picked up a massive power steering cooler. It should help a ton and increases the capacity quite a bit. Just gotta figure out where I want to mount it now.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I pulled the old radiator, replaced the pulley bearings, and dropped in a new radiator. No leaks (antifreeze anyway) and no belt squeaks. Tomorrow I'll cut out a heart shaped air flow block for the radiator and paint it....pink.

Looking good, we did the same T gear swap for Willem's and I like the slightly lower gears.

Washed off all the mud from almost 2 years ago. Runs like crap with all the old gas. Good thing it's almost empty.

Today I finished up the power steering cooler install, radiator install, led light bar install and started installing my new flares. It's coming along nicely!

That is coming along nicely.
Give us the details on the light bar if you don't mind.

Please let us know how you like it at night. I had some cheap lights in that location before and the reflection from the lights off the hood was horrible.

Plasti-dip your hood flat black...

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
It should be ok as the center beams are spot lights with a 5° pattern. I think it's far enough back that it won't hit the hood much with the side flood beams. I'll check it out and report back.
Today I installed my flares, door inserts and a couple of rock lights. Still have to install some speakers, more rock lights, some wiring and a bikini top. I love the war flares!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I have just been fiddling with small stuff like installing the remaining carpet hold downs, etc.
Tomorrow I'm going to install a new power steering reservoir. It is from a 2004 / 2005 F250 Powerstroke. It is a good size and has fittings for dual return lines. The fittings are at an optimum angle too.
I will post pics tomorrow.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
The booger bronco followed me home for a few days. First thing I had to do with driving it in the snow today was the cherokee wiper upgrade. Nice to drive it and see that it still runs from sitting for a year.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Dang guys...1551 posts since I started this thread! Very nice. Cool seeing all the pics and work everyone is doing.
Today I finally got tired of the odor of gas that was filling the garage. The output on the 23 gal EFI tank was leaking so I used heavy duty teflon tape on the AN connector. I think I have it licked but we'll see tomorrow.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I installed the dual return remote reservoir which came from 2004 / 2005 F250 Powerstroke.
Pretty straight forward but installing the 5/8" pump feed hose onto the nipple of the reservoir was an absolute PIA.
I should have mounted it slightly higher on the firewall as the feed hose has a little bit of a low spot between reservoir and pump. Here is the reservoir image.jpg Here is the bracket that came with it. I had to shim it in a couple spots as the mounting plate isn't flat. image.jpg Here it is installed. image.jpg

Not today, but the last three days or so...
Installed billet headlight rings I received last year for Christmas. Insulated the front of the Bronco with aluminum bubble wrap-like water heater insulation. Installed the new to me steel door panels with insulated backing. Reinstalled my sun visors and wiper motor cover. Picked up a 1996 5.8L from the salvage yard.

Got my snow plow mount installed today.
Tomorrow I hope to get the hydraulics / light tower installed, wire it up and plow the driveway.
