No, not with my good looks or my wit. I cut it like I cut the cheese...smooth and steady with a slight touch of pressure. I do prefer the smell of metal though. My blend is just a tad rich.

Today, I had my "new" welder delivered. I'll need a 50 amp circuit to drive it. Its physically large, but it does have a 60% duty cycle @ 225amps. So I'll be able to melt about anything I want. This isn't mine, but its the same model, mine is clean and not heavily used:

I haven't had any troubles since I upgraded tanks and replaced the gas caps with new (Gates #31702). The caps I got are listed as having a vac/pressure relief valve. But when I pull my caps off after running for a while, I hear air being sucked in, it is also pulling fuel from my aux tank when the main tank is emptied. Also, if I fill the main tank from the aux tank, there is air pressure released from the tank when the cap is removed. So whatever relief valve is built in is not big enough to allow enough venting to keep up with the tank draining/filling. I don't want to find out where/when/why this might be a problem, and I'll just add the vent valves. My truck isn't parked in a garage, so I don't think the smell will be a problem.

I'm starting a list of upgrades/repairs I need to make to feel good about going to Utah at the end of April.

I also passed my electrical rough in and framing home inspections, today. So I can add outlets, lights, switches, etc and also drywall. Closing in on "finishing" my remodel = more time for my Bronco.

Chad - maybe you could make that siphoning from the aux tank work for ya?? It probably makes the pump work harder tho...

I hear ya! But if you put that vent upstream of the aux tank, that would put less strain on the pump sucking the fuel into the main tank. Just sayin'...

But it's nice to know you always have that extra fuel in the aux tank.

I'm going to put a vent on each tank. Both are developing strong vacuum when drained, and the main tank is positively pressurized when its filled from the aux tank.
