 Re: C4 install woes Dorman part number 74040 ($3.99) appears to be correct. Not carried in stores. "Help" part number 14041 (Advance $7.49 and Auto Zone $5.99) contains an assortment which may have the correct one.

C4 install woes Who has a good technique for installing this thing? Heat? Grease? BFH? Two functioning arms? All of the above?

Re: C4 install woes 1-2 feels very good. A quick, almost unnoticed shift under light throttle, firm and fast under moderate-heavy. Third seemed to take forever to engage but maybe I'm just accustomed to 4.11s, not 3.50s. Shifting from park or neutral is a very loud clunk though.

C4 install woes Yes. Park to reverse is definitely more pronounced.
And no shift kit.
