Balljoints
This doesnt look right to me. Went to install new ball joints and this is what it looks like. I torqued the lower to 75ftlbs and then torqued the split sleeve to 50ftlbs. half the slpit sleeve is sticking out the bottom. Doesnt look safe to me with only a few threads holding it in. The spicers from wild horses were like this also. Maybe I bent the knuckle pressing in/out the ball joints?

Re: Balljoints
Silly question first, both ball joints fully seated? Yes that is a bit more sleeve showing than I've experienced, but what is more concerning is the depth of the castle nut, can you insert the cotter pin?

Re: Balljoints
Both ball joints seated fully. Castle nut is not torqued down. General consensus is either the c is spread open or I collapsed the knuckle when pressing in the new ones.
So does anyone have a 6bolt knuckle laying around? Driver side.

Re: Balljoints
A new knuckle is probably easier and cheaper, but you might touch base with Josh @ Crawlertech. I know he's got the gear to straighten housings, not sure about C's or knuckles.

Re: Balljoints
6 bolt, is that the drum version with a chevy conversion? If so I have a driver side for you, it may motivate me to pull the passenger side for Brett.

Re: Balljoints
Yes factory 74 drum knuckle with chevy disc's. If you have one that would be awesome!!!! I removed it and you can see the knuckle is bent.

Re: Balljoints
It's yours, I'll find some time over the next couple of days and yank both knuckles.
