Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Got my Mustang seats today. Drivers side wasn't in as good shape as anticipated, in fact the back is bent or broken. Will have to fix it when I get them recovered.
I installed the driver's side seat and took it for a spin. Really comfortable. The little extender thing in the front really makes it comfortable.
Gonna do the passenger side tomorrow.

I was all excited about the progress I made in "2" days, off and on, then I saw Phil's build by 777Mechanic.
I still have a 2 day weekend worth of welding and grinding to put it back together again!
Jeeeesh!!! Way to break a guys will!!!
Check out the Bondo they used on this Pig!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Spent some time with TO today.
Got my gas gauge working today. Wound up taking the sending unit and the dash switch apart, cleaning everything up, making a few tweaks, and reassembling. Just need to get the coolant gauge working and I have a fully operational cluster.
Also did some trouble shooting on my lack of back up lights. Would appear the NSS/back up switch is not working correctly.

Today was a good day. Got to drive the bronco but most importantly drive my grandpa to my grandma's funeral. Many memories of them both in the bronco.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Installed a few Bronco car covers. They fit great and the material seems like it will do a good job of keeping the elements out. We'll see how they stand up to the Colorado wind.

Well I know one if them is 33x2, one is Mike's, so that leaves 3 unaccounted for.

What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Left to right: TO, Stroppe'd, JCB's new project, 76FB's project, 33x2
Project X might be back on a rolling chassis before the new year, so I might need a couple more covers.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Finally got serious about installing the NP435 in Drews bronco last night. kinder came by to offer his moral support and vast knowhow. Then today, without him we got the clutch done, and have the trans and t-case hanging In a hammock of web straps while we lay out a larger floor cut out
It's possible, even feasible that by the end of the night tomorrow, she is back on the road and trails!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Front right wheel bearings on TO. Drum shows a casting date of 23 May, 1972 and is OEM Ford. Might need to replace soon. "040" marked on the inside in grease marker. I'm guessing that was the last turn.

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Pulled the passenger door latch on Stroppe'd and gave it the clean and lubricate treatment. Also reinstalled my metal door panels, arm rests, and latches.
Finally got around to roughing up and primering the right rear quarter panel.

New shoes courtesy of Discount Tire and our very own B.O.B. And another big thanks to ManTruck for hooking me up with the slots. They look great.

Mike, ya know I love ya and appreciate the loaners. But I felt like I was driving an NP435 in L-1-2 everywhere.
