C4 install question
C4 install question I have been leaking fluid from my dana 20 since I installed my c4 and the rebuilt viperwolf dana 20. I noticed there is fluid coming out the vent. Did I miss a seal and or a step in my install. I think I have transmission fluid in the tc cuz the royal purple is more red now. I've al been a np435 guy so this is my 1st auto install

Re: C4 install question
Just to confirm, the vent for the t case? I'm no C4 expert but if you have trans fluid filling up the void b/t the trans and the t case and then building up in the t case I'd say the seal is missing or failed. Is your ATF low?

Re: C4 install question
No missing seal. It will only come out the vent if it's over - filled or too hot.

There is a o ring on the bearing retainer big aluminum pc that was chewed up a little. Thought it would be fine.

Re: C4 install question
I too am having the same issue. The first time was pretty bad and we replaced the seal. This time which is a couple of months later the same thing is happening but not nearly as bad as the first time. It's leaking again from the valve on top of the T-case. I have to periodically put more ATF in the transmission. I was also hoping if someone had any ideas as well.

Re: C4 install question
77 there are 2 places they can leak together. Both require pulling the t case to change. And if you do one better do the other also.
oring
seal
