Project sneak peak.
Been working on my new project a bit - can't take credit for it all but I am customizing it a bit and doing some finish welding before i paint it... Wanted a 18" LED but a buddy of mine needed it and gave me the 2 stage 20" instead.. guess i will live with it ;) Working on getting the new syntheic line and fairlead.. will be drilling one more hole up front to fit a standard 10" hawse fairlead.

Re: Project sneak peak.
Nice work Chris! Did you and a guy-who-shall-remain-nameless create this from scratch? I want to see what you have on the backside. Consider any hi-lift jacking points? A very nice looking bumper for sure!

That is going to look great - is that for the Red NM Bronco that you have been building for me?

Ahh, I think I ran into his father at a Costco one time after he saw a t-shirt I was wearing. Really looks like some good stuff. I can't wait for more pics!

Looks great! I'm not sure if you need to open up the hole for the winch line any, but if you want to use the plasma we can knock it out.

Project sneak peak.
Got everything fitted, drilled and tested. Now onto primer. Paint tomorrow. A little concerned with air flow into the radiator but I will cross that bridge when the time comes.

Re: Project sneak peak.
Just an FYI that marker writing will bleed through the paint also as it did the primer.

Re: Project sneak peak.
Hammered paint covers a lot of that sort of thing. Or maybe just makes it blend in.

Re: Project sneak peak.
Final coat of hammered, didn't like that it was more of a grey - but already knew it would be So decided to make it black - final coat and set to cure for 5-6 days. Seems like it will hold up very well, wish it was warmer but got the garage to 62 F Hopefully get it mounted up toward the end of the week and then move on to the rear tire carrier ;)

Yeah, I remember the black coming out more gray as well. But I just went with it...
Looks good and it'll look great installed!

I'm using the same stuff on my axles. I like the color for them, but good call on topcoating it.

Re: Project sneak peak.
When I first mounted the bumper the body was an inch higher on the passenger-side I had to remove almost half an inch of spacers in the body mount. To get it close. No idea why he had that many shims in the body mount.

Re: Project sneak peak.
Custom splice. 125' of 3/8" line with all the goodies including hawse fairlead. Slightly less than $500 includes shipping. I priced several places and he's priced pretty good.
