explorer timing chain cover

 explorer timing chain cover Mine had a seized bolt and ended up breaking an ear off. So does anyone have an extra laying around before I order one?

Re: explorer timing chain cover I don't have an extra, but you can get them at Advance Auto Parts. Same one that WH sells. It's a Dorman part.

The OEM cover I got on CL turned out to be for a 64 Mustang and won't work for my motor. I don't want the stupid oil dipstick in the cover. Also, Scott Drake repops are getting trashed over on Sunmit for breaking during install.

Re: explorer timing chain cover Like I said, the Dorman one sold at Advanced is the same one that WH sells (that was an Exploder timing cover). Way back in the day I replaced my stock timing chain cover and pulled one off a Granada at the junkyard that had the hole in the timing cover for the dipstick. I just tapped the hole and threaded a plug in it.
