 Camping this weekend I'm taking my kids camping this weekend. Leaving Friday pm coming back Sunday afternoon. I'm going to the Caribou Creek / Eldorado Mtn Trail Junction. Its north of Nederland. The trail is rated at a 3 and there are some designated camping spots. We're hoping to get #10 or #11. If you're interested in joining us, post up and I'll give out more info/directions.

Re: Camping this weekend Took the kids up Friday evening and scored a great spot. We saw 5 moose coming in. Saturday we geocached, set up a winch zip line, and wheeled Caribou Creek. There was a lot more water and mud holes after the 3 days of rain. TOOLMAN- this would have been a little more exciting than the last weekend.

Re: Camping this weekend How much convincing of yourself did it take to go through that mud puddle? If I remember correctly, it was a little steep getting into it (nose of engine dipping in). Also- which campsite did you get?

Re: Camping this weekend The convincing came from my 11 year old daughter. "Come on dad, lets go back and do the hill and the big puddle"...As for campsites, we got #9 which was the best. #10 would have been cool because it backs up to the meadow, but it also is right next to #11. If you had 2 groups, then grab #10 an #11.
