Re: Landshark's 72 Build
Dang, I still like 'em, just thought they might be "special!" IMO, for some reason, you just can't beat the look of a stock wheel!

Re: Landshark's 72 Build
got some stuff done this weekend... replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, stock 3 speed makes things simple.. no body lift does not ;) got things buttoned up and took it for a drive around the neighborhood but there is a noise coming from the transfer case or transmission - really thinking its the transfer case, sounds like its between gears but I have checked a few times and adjusted the shift plate that the T handle uses and its still there. Happen when driving in 4 high or 2 high. Posted a video below... any ideas? You can hear it around the 50 sec mark - my one handed 3 on the tree driving leaves something to be desired :) put the hood and both bumpers on after I took this picture.. beginning to look like a bronco again! More body work is still needed, but that will be a later date... Finished painting the wheels.. just used Gloss White rustoleum, should look fine and be easy to touch up. Will get the 30's mounted to the wheels this week...

Nice work! Sorry I don't know squat about trannys or dana 20's but it does sound like you got a bag of Yahtzee dice under there! That does suck. Please pass the Dramamine!

Re: Landshark's 72 Build
If you put the transfer case in neutral, can you run through the gears and duplicate the issue?
You made a ton of progress. Great job!

Landshark's 72 Build
After pondering on the noise I think it's my rear drive shaft. I did clean and grease it up but I think it might be the cv joint and or pinion angle. I will pull it and take it in to have it rebuilt this week and measure my pinion.

Landshark's 72 Build
Made some progress this weekend. Even drove it around a little. Need to get it registered and fix the column shifter.

Re: Landshark's 72 Build
Both of your rear quarters turned out Really Nice, I love the stance!
I knew you had 2 other Broncos, but seeing them all together in your last few series of pics, kinda feels like you are just showing off!!! (I wish I could show off!!!)

Landshark's 72 Build
Thanks. I do have some more body work to do on the quarters. Both new quarter rears at the bottom rear are slanted and bowed. Not sure Iam capable enough to tackle but something I can fix later. Right now just getting it road worthy and safe. I am going to pull the column apart this week and see what I can do about the slop.
I'd have more luck trying to use a fish to shift.
Also the rockers were poor 80's repairs. They aren't terrible but they will have to be addressed one day. They hang a little low.

Doors gaps are good. Could better both hinges are saggy. Inner kick panels are pretty bad

Re: Landshark's 72 Build
I think that's a 66 tailgate. You may check with Chad or other 66 guru's but that's not the same as what I have on my 74. Its the top body line that's different.

Yes, that is a 66/67 tailgate. I was not even looking.

Landshark's 72 Build
Oh well it needed repairs lol. I was planning on cutting out that lower portion to replace but was going to use flat stock any reason to keep the embossing down there? Might be a real pain to do so. Where the rot in this picture near the new end piece. Was going to cut the whole thing out entire width and bout 4-5" or so depth.
