Post New electrical gremlin
So went wheeling this past weekend and ran into a few snags (and some trees as well). New issue is I cracked a fuel line and had to drop the tank. Used the in tank pump to drain some fuel after I fixed the tank so it was easier to put back in place. I did start it and moved the truck. Next day went out and no fuel pump. After some searching I did find my fuel pump fuse was blown. Replaced it but everytime I turn the key to prime the pump it blows the fuse. Any ideas?

Fuel cools the pump. If you run it without fuel it could have overheated.

If you pulled the tank and put it back in did you loosen any other electrical connections, like the ground wires or nick / pinch a wire?

I'm with Kinder most likely a pinched or grounded power lead.

I'll have to drop and check. I don't think so but you never know.

I unplugged the fuel pump and turned the switch and no blown fuse. Must be something with the wire to the tank, pump, or something
