alternator help
ran into a problem with my 69 it has a stock 302. the battery went dead jump started it and tested the alt. it came up bad. pulled it out and found that the stator wire melted. cut open the harness and traced the wire and it is grounded the the voltage regulator is this right. Ive had this bronco for 10 years and never messed with the alternator. can't seem to find a 69 only wiring diagram. thanks Alex

Re: alternator help
Ok found the wiring diagram in the tech spec section. looking at the diagram the stator doesn't have a wire connect to it. is this right?

Re: alternator help
Should be no stator wire until the electric chokes came around in '73 or '74.
