Post EFI fuel lines & fittings
Is it considered acceptable that I'm using rubber EFI fuel hose & clamps on an E2000 pump built for the Ford factory nylon snap lock hoses? I ran it for years that way, no problems, no leaks. But if there is a likelyhood the hose could pull off the pump, I'd probably change it out for one made for rubber hose. I just bumped into this one while reading up on Explorer EFI.

I'm happy leaving it as is, if I'm not flirting with disaster. I haven't read anything about mixing line/fitting types. And I know the E2000 pump has been used a lot, probably without the Ford fuel line. So I'm guessing I'm fine, and I'm just overthinking it.

If you've run it for years it's probably ok at those pressures. If you plan to increase pressure with an explorer returnless system you might want to upgrade it. I use the same pump on my '74 and I put a couple AN tube adapters on the fittings.

Thanks, I'm only going to worry about the high pressure side of the pump. The 5/16 snap lock fitting doesn't want to thread out of the pump (and I don't want to break the pump). Did you use something like this?:

I used tube adapters like this. https://www.summitracing.com/nv/parts/ear-165056erl

The one you found would be better. Tube adapters can only be installed once because they usually can't be removed.
