Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
My 66 has a birthday approaching and I decided to get it a gift. With a lead from Gunnibronco and some Kansas City legwork from akafrankcastle ( Thanks to both of you ) , I am the proud owner of a 66 Bronco bench seat. The good news is that it is a legit 66 seat. The bad news is that it is a 10 hour drive each way to bring it home. So if anyone happens to be making the trip back from the KC area and has a little free space on the subaru roof rack, I would appreciate it if you could give it a lift home. Shoot me a message if you can help.

But Zac noticed a little something when he picked it up What's that peeking out from under the blue upholstery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, the original 66 upholstery is under there. The bottom looks somewhat less pristine but the seat back looks pretty awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
Nice, glad you got it! Looks good!
I think a little Bronco karma paid me back yesterday. I scored a set of front 66 seat belts, & 66 wheels at Don's yesterday. Also stopped in Palmer Lake and picked up a 3 speed & t-case, radio, visors, and a bunch of other 66 stuff yesterday. #winning

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
I might be headed out for a month on a fire crew. If that happens, I'll be leaving contact info with Jeremy for my brother in law or sister who can get access to my storage unit.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
Subscribed... I may be making a quick trip to CO to get some much needed yard equipment and I'll be empty going... My plan wasn't to go thru Denver (destination Monte Vista), but perhaps I could make something work. No concrete plans yet, but I can't borrow neighbors stuff forever.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
I am strongly contemplating a run to CO over Labor day weekend to pickup some desperately needed yard equipment and tools. My plan is to leave quite early Friday morning the 2nd, arriving in Oak Grove around 0800. From there making my way to wheatridge to pickup some brake parts my cousin ordered for me at his shop. I am undecided if I'd just stay the night there, or continue to my in-laws in Rye that night. Will depend on schedule and traffic conditions I guess.
Does that work at all for you guys? Anyone along I-70 in Denver to wheatridge have the availability to store this seat for Jeremy and can meet Friday evening?

I am off of I-70 and Sheridan (Sheridan and 29th) and could store it here if it could make it down here between now and then.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
As of now, this trip has a green light. I don't foresee anything under normal circumstances that would prevent me from going.
Zack - The 470 loop around KC manageable after 0800? I'd rather delay the trip a little to avoid the traffic if required.
As far as drop off, who would it works best for? I'm just not sure what my schedule will be at that point. My cousin's shop is near 38th and Wads. And with the trip being b/w 13 & 14hrs, I am guessing I'll be pulling into Denver around 6pm.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
I'm all excited again! If someone can meet up to grab the seat for me, I'll drive down Later Friday night or Sat morning to pick it up. I can also look at the possibility of getting out of work early to get down there but it is unlikely that I can get out of work before 5:30 -6. Another option might be to see if my wife's work schedule allows her to drive down. This would be easiest if we can get the timing worked out.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
My wife thinks her schedule will allow her to drive down but needs to double check. Depending on timing, maybe she could meet up out on I70 on the east side. Possibly in the vicinity of Pena Blvd. just requires some fine tuning on the timing. She might not be willing to make any future parts runs for me if she has to sit in her Car for a couple hours waiting. Anyway it works, I appreciate everyone's help and offers of help to get my little Bronco treasure home.

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
Once I cross into CO at the KS border, I'll have a pretty good idea of what my schedule is. I can call any necessary parties and we can figure things out from there. Google says that is a little over 2 hrs to Pena, but I could likely call anytime after lunch and have a pretty good idea of my schedule. Still, not opposed at dropping it off somewhere either.
Let me know your preference and we will figure it out!

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
Anyone have a free evening to grab a bite? This would be that Friday night (before labor day..). Inlaws have a wedding reception, cousin headed out to go camping. But eating in denver would allow traffic to clear out before I continued south.
Zack - I will call you. I promise!

Re: Birthday present needs a ride back to Colorado
That works for me John. I'll want to grab a bite and then make my way 2.5hrs south. But I am worried if I have a delay somewhere I may miss you. But I'll have your number so I can call.
As for meeting, Anywhere near I-70 on the west side or I-25 south from there.
