Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Work was slow this afternoon so I pulled the lower intake and re-sealed it hoping it fixes the oil leak I had. Fingers crossed that was the culprit and I got enough right stuff on it this time.

Put the new to me front bumper on. I should probably put it back on insurance. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Great mod on the lift gate. Do you have a link to the part? I don't recall my top having provisions for a shock like that. Appears your lower mount has been on the bronco a while.
The ranch hand looks right at home and nostalgic on your rig!! Wonder how long they have been in business??

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
So I guess it’s been about a year since I bought them and it looks like they might’ve increased a little bit in price but $21.99 delivered isn’t too bad. On the top portion by the liftgate we used the cut off wheel to detach the lift portion and on the bottom ones we used the drill to drill them out at the center hole.
We used a self tapping sheet metal screw and only needed two new holes as you can see on the top but everything else went right into place. 67lb 15” not 15lb ;) They supply brackets but we didn’t use them because the holes are different at all four corners so we would’ve had to drill 4 new holes and some of them overlap the old holes so I chose just to reuse the old hardware which on my rig I wanted the old anyway

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
Well-- it looks like all of us non-essentials are going to be strictly confined to our homes-- which sounds like it makes garage time, essential. I know a lot of you guys have been hoarding away parts so as a practice in sheltering in place and social distancing-- let's hear what everyone plans to do to your Broncos over the next several weeks. Hopefully when we come out the other end of this (and we will), we will have more road capable Broncos on the trails and at the Bronco Breakfasts!
My current list: - Swap in a temperature control cable. The sheath on mine broke away so no longer works. This is harder than it sounds as I had to disassemble a good bit to even get access to it. - Adjust the wiring on my fan control-- the wires were not in order of off/low/high - Install windshield bracing (am adding brackets to give it more strength) - Add rear tie-down brackets for a new Bikini Top - Possibly change the door lock and ignition set. I have the original ignition/key but aftermarket door locks so have 2 keys to deal with. Bought a new set of all 3 but it is low on my priority list.
Take advantage of this time! Hope everyone is staying healthy and motivated!

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
I’m planning to swap in a 4r70w. I’ve got everything I need and am tentatively planning on the first Saturday in April. I also have new leaf springs and front coils to swap in.

Do our wives drive the same car??
Well, really ours has had it seasons of needing attention, but ever since I have kept it out of the dealer, it's been doing pretty well. Just about to tick into triple digits...

Re: What have you done to your Bronco today? (v.2)
For 3 months Ive been battling an EMI issue with my stereo. I have been back and forth with the manufacturer and we went as far as replacing the head unit. I am at a complete loss as what to do next. Its an issue with the ignition system/transmission.
