should have waited to patch the floor till after the auto is in. Not a lot of room to do much under there.

Pack the center of the bushing and the void behind it with axle grease or wet bread. Pack it. Pack it good.

Then take a dowel rod, insert it into the hole, and tap it with a mallet. The bushing will work itself out.

I watched a couple of grease videos and 1 with wet paper and I used wet paper towels all cut up into 1x1" squares. Took me about 10 min but finally worked itself out!

Thanks!

My Father's Day gift to myself, new three-point shoulder harness for the rear seat. It came with all new eyebolt hardware that installed in the stock seatbelt positions for that custom-stock look.

After my boys help me do the install we all went for a ride to A&W and got some Rootbeer floats, Sweet!!!

A word of caution. having the shoulder straps bolted low like that to the floor can and will cause very bad things to happen in the event of an accident. having them bolted low will compress their spine in the event.

What Rob said. The forward movement of a body in a crash causes straps set up like that to put serious downward pressure on the spine, and can cause severe spinal injuries. To be safe you'll need to add a cross bar at shoulder height, then run the shoulder straps over that.

Thanks for the heads up Rob & Justin!
I think I can fab up a straight bar that goes from each side of the rollbar, that looks to be above shoulder height.

Ideally, the harness bar should be at or slightly below shoulder height. Most harness makers recommend a 0-20 degree downward angle from the shoulder to the mounting point

Looks like your roll bar lends itself to allowing you to add that cross-bar. The position is tough for growing kids tho!!

Like Justin said, 0-20 deg which usually ends up being 1" below shoulders.

Welcome. That's a good article. Simpson's install inductions area also quite good if you want a shorter version.
