Got 'er home 70' ----no longer broncoless
Went and picked up the 70 today via a trailer. It was up in Wellington and had not been driven much over the last years and I wanted to make sure it was safe before going on a 50+ mile ride.
Unloaded, Taking up curb space
There are many things done to this truck that I like, Many that were not done as well as I would have liked. I'm going to go through it and write everything down, Make a list of must have and nice to have, then prioritize, Safety issues first of course.
Steering does not return to center very well. Probably get a drop bracket, it already has a drop pitman. ( 3 1/2 inch lift )
Doors will not close well at all, Partially because it was tipped on it's side one and partly because either the pillar was installed incorrectly or the body bushing have sagged or need adjusting, they are poly though..
The doors not closing is bugging me.
So far, I'm looking at the first steps
Drain fluids, replenish
Rejet the carb( Was an okie truck) running rich
Drop bracket
Better sealing dipstick,, burping oil from the top
Washers to try and adjust doors
Replace pass side rear brake cylinder, leaking
try to fix the doors
Install hood shocks,, I'm short . lol
Get front glass replaced
rear Springs replaced
Go through wiring, clean it up.
install fuel guages
Get aux tank replaced
Some more pics
Homemade bumpers,, ehhhh.. Not too impressed but functional
Dented pass side. Just the rear quarter and front fender are damaged.
Mustang 5.0 Needs cleaning and organizing
So I have some work to do but want to get it drivable and safe and work on it while driving.
