Re: My garage
 everywhere I look! Calhan ain't too far from me... Hope to see you at the breakfast. So far my kitchen pass for the event is still valid, but subject to retraction given the right circumstances... Bring both ponies, but sounds like you better let your wife drive the bronco...

Re: My garage
Nice collection of Fords there. im curious in the Mustang, what engine is in it and how long have you had it? Black with Red interior is not too common to see anymore. looks great. does it have Deluxe interior?

Re: My garage
It is the original raven black and maroon interior and also has the same 289 it came with but, other heads and bigger cam. might build a 347 but this 289 is pretty healthy so not for awhile. Plus two fords keeps me plenty broke anyway.

Re: My garage
Nice to see you made it over to the board! I remember your halfcab from the BBQ back in August. You'd just finished it up then, right? I stole your aluminum foil trick and used it around the spot where my fuel lines run a little close to the exhaust!

Re: My garage
That is a great point 66 - we will definitely plan more things for Sundays this summer. It is a great day for family events like BBQ's, trail rides, etc. We may even alternate the Breakfast With Broncos to Sunday. Thanks for the idea. If ya have any others - let an Admin/Mod know or email ColoradoClassicBroncos@gmail.com

Re: My garage
This morning I found out a guy at work has a 1966 Mustang that he purchased 17 years ago and has basically sat ever since. I showed him the pics of your Black Mustang and he left my office with Brian the painter's info, link to this thread, BOB's info at Discount Tire, and grinning ear to ear.

Re: My garage
Cool, the mustangs not doin so good right now, it dropped a valve at about 75mph and tore it up. But I got all the parts and am rebuilding it Tuesday night. Turns out it was a 302 with 289 heads and chevy valve's. All the valves were mismatched some were old and pitted some were dished some were new and flat. The guy that built this engine totaly screwed us. So me and a buddy are gonna do it the right way I bought a 289 block with flat top pistons and got the performer rpm top end kit heres some pics of the old block.

Re: My garage
That is so wrong!! I hate it when people get screwed on engine rebuilds. Seems I am hearing of a lot lately!

Re: My garage
Yeah, when it blew it sent so much metal everywhere that it blew out the heater core and dumped antifreeze out all over my wife's feet, and the pass. floorboard. So I think for now I will just block off the heater and get a aluminum radiator. I hate to say it on here but this thing has cost me so much I'm considering selling little red... But havent decided yet.

Re: My garage
Just out of curiosity, who built the motor? Professional shop or "other"? Always looking for new places to add to my "don't go anywhere near there" list.

Re: My garage
It was a machine shop out in Lamar so no need to worry there. Getting ready to build the engine after work tonight I'll post up the progress.
