New guy here. 8 or so years ago I helped my father-in-law build up a eb and he just recently sold it back to me for $1500. Looking it over it appears I have my work cut out for me. I have built up quite a few rigs over the years, a couple broncos, a few ranger/explorer SAS, a couple of 4runner 5mge-7mgte. I am or used to be one of those guys that could put together mechanical parts and make them work. Body work....scares me. Anyway just wanted to pop in and say hi. I have been out of the rig building for a while but hopefully once I get some time to look it over a bit better I will get a project plan together. |

Hey There HIX - Great lookin' Bronco. That is a great color on any vehicle but kicks butt on a Bronco - seriously love the color. Sounds like you have a lot of experience in restos. Really a nice rig and one heck of a buy at $1,500.00. Excited that you found the Club. Feel free to post more pics - no one ever complains of too many pics ;) |

I pulled the trigger today and bought a rolled truck to swap the drivetrain over and update the old green machine. The nice part about buying the whole truck is I get everything I need in one swoop..clutch and brake M/C, engine, tranny, efi, CPU, harness. I did decide to go a slightly different route that I am not sure if anyone has gone...the truck is a 2003 ranger 4.0 sohc 4x4 manual tranny. Before anyone goes off on how a v6is too whimpy for our heavy eb...the motor has more HP and tq across the curve than the 302 it is replacing. We'll see how it turns out. Luckily I have an extra eb frame to mock. everything up on. |
