Who has the thread that describes the parts needed to put the 4r70w in the 66? I will remove the bell housing, NP 435, and adapter from the 351w all of which are out of the frame.

The body is off the frame and now is the time to make the change if i'm going to.

I don’t think there is a thread just for the install, but plenty of folks have done it. Look at Rox’s or Viper’s build threads and see if they included the install in the posts.

I figured it out with these 2 threads. Pretty simple and straight forward swap. Will need to make new frame brackets for the cross member and modify the factory cross member. You'll need to pull the valve body out and change the shift lever. Also I'd recommend a minimum 1" body lift.
